To sum it all up, Noeru (Saitou), a model/student was heartbroken before so he gets fucked every night to prevent himself from falling in love. Enter Mamiya (Kotani), a reporter. They go out, have dinner, Mamiya gets a free blowjob from Noeru, and they split. Enter Chidori (Matsumoto), Noeru's friend/housewife who takes care of Noeru. He spills the story behind Noeru's treasured "Boy at the Sea" painting to Mamiya, and Mamiya seeks out Noeru at the swimming pool, where he bargains with the boy.
So those two get all lovey-dovey, and Chidori doesn't like it. So he does his investigations, afterwhich Mamiya gets a talking to from the boy who gets all snarly and territorial over Noeru. The painting goes missing, and Noeru gets drunk and raped. o.0
Noeru lost his modeling job, and gets fucked by a random guy (THAT WAS WHAT WE SAW IN THE TRAILER) when Mamiya ran to find him. The guy runs away, they talk, Noeru opens up to Mamiya and starts wibbling. Mamiya comforts Noeru as he cries himself to exhaustion, and lies down beside him, watching him sleep. Cue Chidori, who develops psycho thoughts when he saw the two get more lovey-dovey.
Their lovey-dovey was momentarily spoiled when Chidori called up both Mamiya's and Noeru's companies to tell on their lovey-dovey. Mamiya decides to quit, while Noeru punches Chidori for telling. Mamiya and Noeru get on with their lives, and the lovey-dovey starts again.
Cue cake, sketch and knife. Mamiya brings Noeru cake to celebrate finding a job, Noeru sketches Mamiya naked even though he's dressed, Chidori comes in (INSERT PSYCHO THEME) and makes a stab at Mamiya, only to find that Noeru jumped between them and took the knife instead. Noeru dies (OMG) and Mamiya screams. The whole movie wraps up when Mamiya took dead!Noeru to the sea and drowns with him, fulfilling Noeru's childhood promise to go out to sea together.
